Just bought a wood mixing paddle from a food supply store. While I was in the process of drilling a few holes, I noticed that it's glued together. Before I go any further, should I be worried about the glue having a negative affect on the mash? (I know it's easier just get one piece of wood from a hardware store and carve it to my liking, but I don't have the tools for that--just a cheap drill).

Thanks.

If for any reason you decide not to use it, please send it to me:) My thinking is that it is very likely food grade and safe to use.
