Mash paddle with glue

Just bought a wood mixing paddle from a food supply store. While I was in the process of drilling a few holes, I noticed that it's glued together. Before I go any further, should I be worried about the glue having a negative affect on the mash? (I know it's easier just get one piece of wood from a hardware store and carve it to my liking, but I don't have the tools for that--just a cheap drill).

It is likely waterproof and heat proof glue if for stirring soup. If it was for mixing dough, then you may have a problem

Like others said, it's made for food, particularly hot food so I don't think you will have any problems.
