This is very solid this year:

keep in mind it is still hitting 100s during the day here

picked up a six pack a couple week+ ago. first one, 'eh, probably won't pick up anymore of this.' didn't drink any more for like a week. then, mornings were suddenly nicer. it was finally getting cool when the sun sets. by the fourth in the pack, I was very glad when a local grocery chain put SN on sale. picked up a 12 pack without second thought

I'm assuming you mean Schneider-Weisse Brauhaus? Cause I agree, I love the beer at that place.

Yep. IIRC, it used to be called "Weisses Braühaus, but looks like they call it Schneider-Weisse Braühaus now.

I love Aventinus so much.

Two recent O-fests I've had:
  • Sly Fox Oktoberfest (12 oz can) - a perennial staple. These guys do lagers well, and this is one I look forward to every year.
  • Penn Oktoberfest (16 oz can) - really was looking forward to this guy and it fell flat for me. It wasn't bad, but it just didn't hold up to the ones I have been drinking (Sierra Nevada, Sly Fox, Great Lakes, Ayinger).
