This is my first stab at creating a partial mash recipe. It's mainly Maris Otter and Amarillo, just a bit of caramalt; I'd love if anyone saw anything wrong with it that they could point it out; or any suggestions etc.

Looks decent, but if you have more Amarillo I'd reduce your 60 minute to around 25 IBUs and load up more on the 10 and 0. If the IBUs aren't high enough, you could move the 10 to 15. Holding back a portion of your extract until FO will also help boost IBUs if needed.

You are mashing with 5L of water, and your boil is 7L. Just make sure to sparge your grains after mashing to get to the 7L boil volume. And like rhys333 said, add your extract after the boil is done. Since this is an IPA you will want to keep your IBUs up there. You could extend the boil to 75 min (adding first hops at 75min) and that will raise the IBU if wanted.

Wish you luck!

embarrassingly not able to figure out what FO is - sorry I know I'm going to be kicking myself - do you mean final OG reading time?
