Mangrove Cider question

Hello, I have a question about a Mangrove Cider kit I just bought. In the kit it says you should use a carbonation tablet. I usually add a cup and a half for carbonation of my 23L batch of beer. Would that be ok to use in the cider kit or would that make the cider sweet?

I believe a carbination tablet is just fermentable sugar in a no-brainer form. You put it in, bottle, it disolves, ferments and carbs the drink.
I haven't used one but they seem easy peasy!
I have always read 1C of corn sugar to 5gal of cider for carbing.

Whatever you do for carbonating beer will also work for cider.
