This is my first attempt at home malting and I decided on malting teff as no one's really tried it before. I did some soaking and then drying in tupperware, but it was still moist after a few days. When I went to spread the teff out on baking sheets for kilning, I noticed it had a strong, yeasty stink to it.
Now I don't know what to think. Is that pungent smell apart of the malting process? Or did the teff get spoiled and has to be discarded?
