Hey All,

I am going to start my 2L starter tomorrow for brewing a Stone Ruination clone on Friday afternoon. I have a decision to make. I can either go with the Dry English Ale strain that Stone uses for Ruination or Pacman (which most homebrewers use for the strain). I have both in the fridge and temps on the east coast are cool now.

Anyone want to chime in?

Honestly they might be about the same. Pacman might attenuate more but wlp007 finished pretty dry too. Either one should work great.

I would go with the 007...just because it is closer to what Stone uses. Either one will be great.

Huge Ruination fan here too!

What recipe are you using? The ones Ive seen floating around don't seem convincing. Would like to try one if you find it close.

My vote is for 007, thats what stones uses...

I'm doing a 15 gallons of 10 anv Ruination clone tomorrow..10.8 abv:ban:

I used 4 vials of 007 and a step up 5000ml on a stirplate....and alot of oxygen!

Good Luck!!
