Its a bit obscure but somebody may know or know were I might get help.

In want to make a cylinder 30 cm (1ft) diameter by 100 cm (3ft) long out of 4mm (1/4 inch) polypropylene sheet, I'll weld the join and it needs to be round!
If I can't do it with PP I could try thicker HDPE.

Any help would be very much appreciated :)

Thanks. Aamcle

Google "welding polypropylene" and some nice stuff comes up. The welding looks tricky.

You'll also need to heat the 1/4" thick sheet so you can curve it around a surface to make it round. You'll need a 48" x 48" sheet unless you can find a scrap piece that gets you to around 38" x 36".

What are you trying to make? Have you looked for 1ft diameter tubes anywhere?

I've looked but they are very expensive in the uk :(

There are a whole range of things I'd like to make, I'd prefer SS but there is no way I'll ever weld it.
