I was looking at northern brewery's deluxe all grain system . Was wanting to know if any of you have made your own false bottom ? Or if I can do it my self and save a few$ ? Thanks in advance . Cheers:) just not getting what I want from extracts .

Thanks guys they look nice I need one for a water cooler 10 1/16 - 11" 47.00$ diameter I may in vent my own cheers.

How big's the cooler?

I just double up two 5gal paint strainer bags (I've got a 5gal cooler) and it works awesome for me, and makes cleanup a snap.

Paint bags are cheap.

Then it's simple, just put two 5gal paint strainer bags in the cooler, and wrap the elastic around the top just under the threads for the lid. If you've got a coarse crush one bag will be fine, but if a fine/very fine crush use two bags.

I used the same bag (HD 5gal paint strainer bag) from my BIAB test for the cooler. Worked great and I didn't need to spend anything else.
