Magic Chef 3.0 upright freezer for fermenting

Has anyone tried this freezer with a temp controller for fermenting? The specs look like it'll easily hold a 6.5 gal carboy or bucket.

According to one of the reviews, The freezer has two wire shelves in it with cooling tubes running through them, so it probably won't work. You usually have to remove the shelves to fit a fermenter in there.
