Immersion water heater for mini mash tun

I want to make a small set up for doing the occasional half batch on the side while I'm doing my full on brewday. Would this immersion element work for heating mash water for a 2-3 gallon batch?

They are very suitable for mashing that size beer. You can find them for anywhere from $40-70 on the low end.

I found this one for 30 bucks, and it worked great, but I didnt follow their instructions and I think I broke it. I'm gonna spend some time taking it a apart and trying to fix it, but I orders another one that is supposed to be "sturdy", I think if I follow the directions on how to use it itll be awesome for small batch brewing.

You can find inexpensive immersion heaters on eBay.

Try searching “120v 1000w immersion heater”

There are quite a few, around 10 bucks shipped.

Nothing fancy but if you are looking to just heat several gallons in a cooler it will get your there.
