Anyone ever use Luxardo cherries, or any nicer cherry, for a beer? What did you discover? How much did you use?

How about Morello Cherries from Trader Joe's?

The Morellos froom TJ's really are pretty good and those Italian ones are fabulous. If you want them for a particular alcoholic drink, you could pour out the liquid from the TJ ones, replace it with the appropriate booze, and let it sit for at least a week or so.

I buy fresh sour cherries during their brief season and put them up in jars, some with vodka + sugar and some with brandy, and use them in desserts and give them out as gifts over the holiday season. But I have also used various cherries in a jar for things like cherries jubilee-- either the TJ's, Italian ones or the brand called (I think https://cookingtimejournal.com/...-your-cocktails ) Oregon than comes in cans.

Zombie thread, but I do love Luxardo cherries. Never occurred to me to use them in a beer. They have a deep, concentrated flavor and aren't as sweet as maraschinos which might make them perfect for a rich stout. They are packed in Marascas liqueur which gives them their signature flavor, I'd dump the whole jar into an RIS, I would imagine they compliment the smooth espresso/chocolate flavors of Carafa III quite well.
