Today I took a trip to the Grand Canyon (after 6.5 years of living in Phoenix, I know, shame on me). We're staying in Flagstaff tonight, so we ended up at the Lumber Yard in Flagstaff.

I got a flight, an imperial red and a porter. The beer was good, but all of the styles seemed to be a bit hop heavy, but I'd come back again. How do you guys feel about the Lumber Yard? Has anyone had their brew?

They're the same company as Beaver Street Brewery, right?

I like their beers, but would agree the imperial red is pretty hoppy for that style.

Never been, BUUUT I have been in AZ(Yuma and Phoenix) for 30+ years and STILL haven't been to the Grand Canyon.

I lived in Kingman, AZ for 5 years. I never went to the Lumber Yard. But I did go to the Grand Canyon 3 different times. One of those times, it was about 25°F over night. That was not the best sleep I've ever gotten while camping.

On the Beaver Street website off to the left hand side is a Lumber Yard graphic. They very well may be owned by the same company.

Yes they are. I think their beer is pretty decent but not great IMO
