What happens if I mix and match say a 30psi regulator with a 50,000 btu low pressure burner? Would a 3x increase in psi result in a 3x btu output?

What about the reverse? High pressure burner and low pressure regulator and hose.
You can run banjo burners on LP. You just need the correct orifice and needle valve. I am not sure about jet burners.
