Love TS S2 Probe Question

Please help. I am converting a fridge to a 1/2 kegerator/lagering chamber and 1/2 ale fermentation chamber. I'm going to use the Love TS S2 2100 for this. There are both metal and PVC probes sold for the Love. Is one better than the other? One submersible and the other not? I'm having trouble finding the information. Thanks.

Anyone know the limitations/benefits of the metal vs. pvc temp probes or will either do?

According to DWYER INSTRUMENTS where I bought my love controller. The pvc probe can only read a max temp of 105 deg. Neither can be immersed. So as long as you are using the probe for fermenting or a keezer you should be fine with pvc.
