I'm 10 days into fermenting a amber ale... I did a 15 minute pellet hallertau addition to the kit as well as some irish moss... Just to see if I can get a clearer beer.

So its been in a warming bath at 20-22 for the 10 days.. Pretty sure its at FG... Took a sample and it was just FULL of suspended stuff... Now mind you, the hop addition left a ton of hop sludge in the bottom of my fermenter this time around... Damn muslin bag let more then half of it through

So i've decided to leave it in the cold of my basement (17 degrees or so) for the last 10 days in the fv... Maybe the cold will help it settle?

Anyone have any other tips?

(tasted nice though... Rich and nutty)

Hop particles are the best bet, I'd say, since I always have far more trouble getting them to settle than I do yeast/kraeusen.

The cold at 17 might help a bit, but down at more like 10-12C would be closer to typical cold crashing. If you've got a garage that's colder, that would probably be even more effective. I would hope it would improve after 10 days regardless, though!
