Top looks like you had no yeast activity. With the lid sealed your chances for bacteria are pretty slim, you were right to just pitch the yeast.

It seem you get pretty good temperature swings where you have the beer, the bubbles you seen today were probably just caused from the bucket warming up.
You are right about the temperature swings. I live up in the PNW and right now the temp swings are brutal. I am hoping I did not infect it while opening it. I sprayed it down with sanitizer before opening. I am crossing my fingers. Thank you everyone for you input and suggestions. I will keep this post updated.

In the long run you may want to find a place for your beer that has a more stable temperature or consider some sort of temperature control. In the short term you really don't need to worry about, but temperature control will allow for more consistent results.

Get thee a swamp cooler posthaste for your next brew. Dead easy to make, all you need is a rubbermaid tub big enough for your fermenter. Fill it with water and put an old t-shirt over the fermenter, making sure the bottom of the shirt is in the water. Train a fan on it, the t-shirt will wick up the water and the fan will make it evaporate, causing cooling. I too live in the Great PNW, and the temperature fluctuations in the last few weeks have been stupid (live about 30 miles south of Seattle). Two of my last three beers have gotten up over 78 but they turned out pretty good, at least in my opinion.

UPDATE!

So the beer was saved and it was delicious. Great after 11days bottled tasting the 16oz flip top bottles. I am going to try the larger bottles this weekend after 3 weeks bottled. Thanks for everyones help.
