Hi All,

I'm looking for some general and technical input. I am a big fan of North Coast Brewing Old Rasputin and I would like to try and make a beer as close as possible. I have some questions though.

Is this type of beer feasible with Extract brewing? Most of the recipes I have found have been AG.

How will the characteristics of the beer differ(if at all) between extract and AG?

How does the process differ(if at all) from something like an Ale/IPA?

Has anyone found a recipe reasonably close to Old Rasputin?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

BYO 150 clones issue has a Raspy recipe in it...search around the forum and I think you might find it.
Better yet spend the couple bucks and get the issue, if you like clone brews it's a great resource and well worth the $4-5 to purchase.
