Hey fellow farmers :)... Got a slight situation. I have 10 different hop plants going this year and have recently ran into a pest problem. Over the last week I have lost 4 Bine Tips to some type of insect. They have been completely chewed off. The plants that have been subject to this terrorist activity are my Tettnanger, Chinook, and Fuggle. I have spotted a few Wooly Aphids on the Tettnanger but the other plants I haven't really viewed any pests. Would Aphids chew off a tip completely? Any advise on what I should do? I've been spraying the plants with Ortho Pest Control Spray thats good for tomatoes and other flowering plants. Thanks!

Aphids don't chew, they suck ;)

How high above the ground were the bine tips? I'd be leaning towards an animal attack - maybe deer - if they were within reach...

Cheers!
