Does anyone know where I can purchase lightly toasted oak cubes to colonize the lactobacillus I have in my secondary fermenter? I searched all over the web and all I can find is light oak chips, not the cubes. I do not want the oak chips. Is there some way to make my own oak cubes by purchasing wood from home depot. Is there a different or better way to colonize my lactobacillus other than the method mentioned above, thanks.
