Looking for fitting to connect beer line to quick connect.

Trying to find a fitting to connect my new Bev-seal liquid line to quick connect. This line is harder and does not stretch such like vinyl, so I need a fitting to go from this line which is somewhat like you see for ice makers on a fridge to my quick connect and shank. It is 3/16 tubing. Any ideas??

I use a heat gun to get the line nice and warm. It will stretch over the barb. I have found that heating the barb and the line seems to work better. I use a Phillips screwdriver to push against the barb while pushing the heated line on.

Unfortunately I don't have a heat gun. If I used a hair dryer on hot and hold for a long long time would it possible do the trick?

Probably won't get hot enough.

I use a little boiling water, and stick the tubing in there until it's pliable and do the "screwdriver trick" that raysmithtx mentioned. Then, I might have to do it a few times and it does slip on. Make sure you use a clamp to hold it in place afterwards, although it should be on so tight that it won't go anywhere.

So I take it Home Depot wil not have any pressure fitting that can be used??

I ordered some of the fittings and they're backordered until 6/19.

Only way I could do it with buying parts from Home Depot is to go from my 3/16 ID 5/16 OD tubing down to a 1/4 OD with a smaller .170 ID. .. Would this work or is it going to mess up the flow to much and just stay with 3/16 ID

When i need to do this sort of thing i put water in a coffee cup, and microwave it until its boiling. I then put the hose in the water for a few minutes to heat it up, and stretch it over the barbs when its good and warm

I bet once you get that over the barb you won't even need a clamp. I just lost 1/2 or more of a 20# CO2 tank due to a leak at a clamped fitting
