Hey guys, thought I'd bite the bullet and say hi. My longtime love of craft beer has led me to homebrewing. I've only been at it for about a year, but after continuous research and a few extract brews, I jumped to all-grain and have been throwing money at it since.

Currently I'm using a couple of converted sankes as my HLT & boil kettle & a 10-gal rubbermaid for my mash tun. I'm one bulkhead, dip tube, & valve installation away from ditching the cooler & using a 3rd sanke to complete (for now) my 2-tier system and will start 10-gallon batches. I should be running the completed system this Saturday if all goes as planned.

thanks for all of the great info & advice!

Welcome, I'm a Big BR guy in the way distant past. Lived in what used to be called Goodwood and parents lived in Sherbrook area. I graduated from CHS in '58.. move out here with my parents and never looked back. I'd like to visit sometime tho..

Hey bored! Welcome....In BR also, well, Denham actually but close enough. Wondering if I have met you. Do you participate in/with either of the clubs in town?

I do not.. I have been wanting to get involved, but seeing as how I barely have time to even brew between family & work, I'm not sure I'd have much extra time to participate in any club related events. I feel like I'd be a deadbeat member.. LOL. I actually live out in gonzales now, but no one ever knows where that is, so i just say BR. Close enough! :D

I'm kinda in the same boat....I barely have time to work in a brew here and there. There are only a few that participate in every club activity though. It's really laid back, plus it gives the opportunity to interact with other local brewers.
