A 20 ft 3/8 ID and a 50 ft 3/8 OD.

The fastest cooling I have got out of them is with a wye running them both in parallel. I have to slightly close the valve on the wye to the 20 ft to get a more balanced flow.

After it's close to my water temp (70F) I use the 20 ft as a prechiller if I want to get it cooler. By the time it melts all the ice I have in the house it might be to 60F. It probably takes longer to get it from 70 to 60 than it took to get it from boiling to 70.

If you have cold enough watter you don't need a preciller.

I use a sump pump after I get to less than a 100F. Put ice water in a bucket, hook up your cheap sump pump, and you can recirculate your water and use less of it. I've got my work down into the 50s in July. And in Texas that ain't easy.

I would make a pre chiller with it. use your 25ft chiller to get down to 100 or so, then run the pre chiller in some ice water to get that last 30 deg down quicker.

I like the sump pump because it has less connections than the prechiller, and it's just easier to use. Check out jamil using one with his chiller on MrMalty.com.
