I am sure there are some members of this forum that own their own LHBS. I was looking at homes for sale locally and came across a prime spot downtown that would be perfect for a LHBS/Brewpub. What I am curious is to where does a business like this (a LHBS) get its inventory? Is there large brew supplies suppliers out there that carry bulk merchandise do the retailer? Or do you have to buy from specialty suppliers?

So usually directly from manufacturer. There's not some big brew supplier that's all exclusive or a middleman?

No home brew stores even close to Elko Nv. I have a 4 hour drive in all directions to actually be able to go to a store so all my stuff is bought on line.

Some manufacturers are direct, i.e., Blichmann, Wyeast, & White, but, LD Carlson & BSG are big wholesale outfits. Companies like Foxx are wholesalers but focus on more specific lines(kegging, dispensing supplies).
