LME -- does type matter?

My recipe calls for English pale LME as the base grain. My Home brew store doesn't have English pale LME, only pilsner LME, does it make a difference? Im brewing a chocolate stout

I don't think you'll notice the difference in a chocolate stout, the flavor from the specialty grains will dominate the final product. I haven't compared the 2 side by side, but I've heard that the pilsner malt contributes a bit more grain flavor to the beer.
