I follow this guy's YouTube channel for his historical culinary videos. He focuses on the late 18th / early 19th century, or the Regency Era. Much to my surprise he has produced a video on brewing!

Awesome video, and it really shows what brewing was way WAY back in the day (1803 or so according to the video).
Worth noting is that the only sanitation going on was the boil. After that point, it seems like everything that made contact with the wort was not sanitized in any way.

I would have loved to see the actual beer at the end!

No sanitation because at that time there was no real knowledge of bacteria.

That is a pretty cool set up though.
