Google, as always, is a sucky engine for searching, and brings no relevant search results when I search.
I know that yeast and bacteria need or use some biotin, and I know that baker's and maybe also brewer's yeast "likes" ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and I've also read that at least some yeast can synthesize ascorbic acid from sugar alone, so yeast obviously need sugar too.
Does anyone have a complete list of vitamins/minerals, etc., that bakers/brewer's (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) yeast need?
I've found sources that say that yeast are much better off with having oxygen go into the brewing container, in contrast to the usual claim that airlocks are necessary or better, but that's about the only useful information I've found, coupled with the above.
