Hi All,

I've had Oktoberfest wort (from "The Brew House" - RJ Spagnols brand) for an insanely long time (3 years). Is it too risky to attempt a brew now?

Thanks

Do you mean "wort" as in festa brew? Or LME? I used a Cooper's OS lager can last year that was two years old. Dito with the yeast under the false lid. Made a starter for the 7g yeast packet,& added 3lb of plain DME & 2 oz of hops. It came out as the summer ale in my photos. Shoulda called it cougarator. It was the color & basically the flavor of the salvator doppel bock, but less ABV & an ale. So give it a shot...you never know. The most wack part of it was Homebrewer TV,episode #38,where Gary Martin gave it his full 3 thumbs up against a commercial beer.
Still think they're no good,world??!!:tank:

Cool thanks I'll give it a try. It was Oktoberfest wort from the Brew House.
