I was planning on making my yeast starter from a white labs liquid yeast tonight (Friday) as I planned on brewing on Sunday. Now it looks like I have to brew Saturday (rain on Sunday). That will give my starter less than 24 hours. Is that going to be enough time to make the start usefull?

My understanding is that yeast do most of their growth during the first 24-48 hours. If you aerate sufficiently my guess is you should be fine. Just pitch the entire starter after giving it a good swirl to suspend all the yeast.

I would think you wouldn't have any problems. Other opinions may vary but the liquid vials are 'ready to pitch' so assuming your sanitation was done properly at worst you're pitching some extra wort.
