Gonna brew this in the next couple days any thoughts or changes.

Robust porter

5.5 Gal

4#American Two-row Pale
4# Light Dry Malt Extract
8oz Caramalt
8oz Chocolate Malt
6oz Briess Crystal Malt 40L
4oz Amber Malt
4oz Briess Munich Malt
4oz Black Patent Malt
2oz Briess light roasted barley

hops

2 oz Fuggles 60 min
1oz Kent Goldings 40min
1oz Kent goldings 10min

Wyeast London ale
 
I think you have more malts than you need. Too many malts and you lose the character of the individual malts and end up with a flavor with less complexity.

For example, 4 oz of Munich malt won’t add anything (it is really a base malt with a flavor just slightly toastier than pale malt). Amber is a similar story, it takes more than 4 oz to make a contribution. I don’t think you need three different dark grains, two (or even one) is fine.

How about:

4#American Two-row Pale
4# Light Dry Malt Extract
10 oz Amber Malt
14 oz Caramalt
8 oz Chocolate Malt
4 oz Black Patent Malt
