I’m looking at purchasing a conical fermenter and one of the manufacturers uses laser etched volume markers on the interior of the tank. I’ve always thought that one of the big upsides of going to a stainless tank is that the interior is a smooth polished surface.

Should I be concerned about the laser etched surface?

I haven’t had an issue in the three plus years I’ve been using them. I use the ss brewtech stuff. Rinse, PBW, rinse, star san followed by an air dry. I even use brett in my conicals occasionally, I do have separate gaskets for the brett beers.
