I brewed 5 Gal batches with a 2750W immersion water heater such as the one on the picture, which worked great.
I'd like to keep the same simplicity for larger batches between 12 and 25 Gal.
I'm just wondering if someone here has experience with something like that (= no fixed heating elements that pass through the kettle, just immersion heaters) and could recommend:
- A model in particular
- The required power to boil 25 Gal or so
- Any potential downside
