Yeah I never did a hop buy from them yet. I know the Philly guys have done one, I just never got there yet. I think the toughest part with that is you can only buy them in 11# blocks or something like that. That alone could make it very difficult to get enough people interested in the buy let alone hop varieties we can agree on. It's definitely not out of the question, just not for this buy. Maybe I will look into it if there is enough interest and do a hop buy after Christmas.

If it would get more people to order I wouldn't mind picking up the order at my warehouse and bringing it into Reading. I would probably need some help getting the entire order down there. I don't think I can't fit all of the bags in my minivan. If you find another place that would certainly be easier, but I'd like to see this go through so I'd bring it down to help out.

Yeah and keep in mind guys (gals?), Last time I brought a crap load of sacks back to my place (Fleetwood) and people picked up there. I have no problem doing this again as long as it is set up ahead of time. If you would want to throw me some homebrew or gas money, that's entirely up to you. I'm not asking for anything other then a smooth group buy and some cheap malt! Couple new friends in the end works nicely too. Sith- I appreciate that offer, but since I live in the Reading area it's not really necessary.
Tom

I would but I don't need that much. I would take about 10lbs.. That's all I would need. That would last me a while.

Wow, still a ways away from the 42 sacks we need...as much interest as there seemed when this started I thought this would've been filled up by now. Glad I don't need this grain to brew right now, but am hoping we can fill this order in the next couple of weeks.

I've been getting a lot of messages for people looking for a closer pick up toward Lancaster/York area. If anyone that is already in the buy would be willing to help transport some grains in that area and/or out into the Harrisburg area, please post it up. We had to do that last time for some people and if there is anyone new looking at jumping in this time, they may not be aware of that.

Hey Tom,

If you can update/change my order to the following: cancel what is listed currently listed for Oldfart, and update to:

- 4x CM-2ROW
- 1 x CM-SPIL
- 1 x GW-C40

and....

Partials currently available

- 1/2 x BZ- VIEN
- 1/4 x GW- C60

This update should help a little to get closer to the magic 42 sacks.

By changing my orginal order, we gain 1 3/4 net sack gain.

Thanx for your efforts and patience.

Good morning Tom; As stated before, I am new to this bulk buy however I live in East Petersburg (Lanc. Co.). In order to fill the order, I would be willing to load my truck up for folks in Lancaster and York to make it easier. Pm me if this is something worth while

I live just off of the Denver/PA turnpike exit of 222 so basically right in between Reading and Lancaster. I would be more than willing to bring some grain back to my place if that would be a better pickup location for anyone.

Hey oldfart, changed your order. thanks for posting up your locations guys. Hopefully this will help to move some grain!
Tom

alright...just about 3/4 of the way there...only 12 more sacks to go!! Let's go folks, let's get this thing filled up so we can get to brewing!!

A friend and I from Lancaster are about ready to add 2-4 bags to the order. Also, I see almost everyone chose the Canadian Malting 2-row. Are they generally regarded as the best pale 2-row for the price?

Tom,

I'd like

1x CM-2ROW

lustreking, I would take 10 to 15 lbs of light Munich.

If anyone is interested in splitting a sack of maris otter TF-MOPA, I would be interested as well.

Thanks,

beeber

Tom, I will take 2 x CM-2ROW, 1 x BD-MOPA, and 1 x GW-C40.

Thanks,
Tim (the guy who bought the carboys)

Okay everyone, looks like we hit the magic number! I have an offer to have the order shipped to Reading right on 5th street at the Sherwin williams. Which location works best for the group, Reading or Bethlehem? If it is in Reading I don't have a problem bringing the grains to my place for the people toward the Allentown area. I also frequent Keystone Homebrew, so I could bring them out to Bethlehem as well. If your in the order, go to the first post and be sure what is next to your name is what you want. I WILL BE USING THE FIRST PAGE AS MY ORDER SHEET!! If anything is wrong with your order be sure to let me know. Also, when you confirm your order, let me know if Reading or Bethlehem works out better. Quite honestly I'm not looking at placing the order until the end of next week at the earliest. I have a lot of stuff coming up the next couple weekends, thats why initially said about placing the order the middle of November. I hope that works out with everyone. In the mean time we can get the orders confirmed and I can get the totals out to everyone. You DO NOT have to pay until we get closer to the order date unless your using a MO or personal check (need time to get mailed and/or clear my bank).
Tom

Good morning Tom. Order looks good, Reading preferred and as stated I would be willing to assist anyone west of Reading (York, Lancaster). Thanks, nice job! Jim

Tom,

-My order is correct as listed on the first page.

-Reading would be more convenient for me and like Bentpirate, I would also be willing to help out Reading/Lancaster folks. Last time I picked up at your place (which was more convenient than Bethlehem--still less convenient than Reading), I could also pickup there again and carpool/pickup grain for Lancaster/Reading folks if needed.
