I've been digging this beer, it is a low abv/cal IPA that is fermented out pretty much dry with what I suspect is glucoamylase. https://lagunitas.com/beer/daytime

Anyone attempted to brew a version of this? I'm thinking:

100% Pils Malt or 2 Row
Centennial & Citra
Touch of Oats

Ferment with West Coast IPA Yeast & Glucoamylase

I’m going to have to keep an eye out for that! If I’m not drinking HB, it’s usually Founders All Day IPA. Which is weird because I like stouts and porters over any other style.

I’ve found a few All Day IPA clones, but they are all above 5% ABV.

If you do brew it, let us know how it comes out and how it compares.

I wonder what their “special brewing practices” are. I could care less about the calories, but a nice dry session with a good balance of hops sounds great!

Yeah, All Day is pretty much the only session IPA that has ever worked -- as far as I have tasted.

I can usually taste if someone hands me a "session IPA" - it's a fun party trick

The beer is very dry and Brut IPA-ish, so I'm betting that it is Glucoamylase.

Its just about the best session IPA out there, but I also enjoy Harpoon's Rec League. Harpoon's is more of a "juicy" IPA, but they did an amazing job with that beer at 3.4% ABV.

I can't answer the original question, but I do like Founders All Day IPA. Northern Brewer sells a kit that's a semi-replica. It's called Conundrum Session IPA. I brewed a batch of it last month after looking at the ingredients on their site, and it came out fantastic. I haven't had it side-by-side with a Founders, but it definitely gives me the All Day IPA feel.

As for other session IPA's, I had a Saranac sampler over the summer and they have a 100 calorie IPA. I only had 2 of them, and it was several months ago, but I thought it was very good.
