Lagering in a plastic bucket?

So what do you think? I'll be doing the d-rest on my Oktoberfest in the next few days and I was thinking of lagering it in a plastic fermenter. Anyone have a reason why I shouldn't? Just curious.

1. Experience...it doesn't work.
2. Plastic is permeated by oxygen over time...see #1.
3. Glass is not permeable...see #1.

As 99 mentioned the plastic breathes and allows small amounts of O2 to enter. I have lagered in plastic fermenters and come up with some decent lagers. The colder you lager and the closer the beer is to the top of the fermenter the better off you will be. Glass works best.

I guess why risk it... I'll put it in a glass carboy. Thanks guys...
