Any notable breweries, cheap eats, new coffee places, etc. in OC worth checking out? Heading up there for a family outing. Gonna be hitting GBC for my final allocations and wondering if there's anything else between there and SD worth giving a look.

Docent in San Juan is decent and a chill, family-friendly spot.

Burritos La Palma is a quick drive from GBC and transcendental. Beer talk below is secondary.

Really digging the new stuff at Riip, but probably out of your way in HB (also: Beachwood & American Dream). Green Cheek doing good stuff if you haven't been yet. Taps Irvine or Tustin Brew Co, while not new, are solid, kid friendly, and on the way.

That was actually on my list already, and the only stop we made before the little one decided she didn't want any part of the adventure. Probably the most impressive burritos I've had in a while. Does anyone know if there's any place in San Diego that does something similar? I feel like there has to be.

Anyone else Cellador members? Getting some Lost Abbey PTSD from the Fleur release today.

Yup. Just got their follow up email with the issues. I feel for them though. It's literally JUST Sara and Kevin running everything there. I can't imagine how stressed out they must have been. They take care of their members better than any club I've ever been in.

Just finally snagged a Fleur 375. Missed out on the Cuvee because of the crash. It's all good though, its just beer!

I agree, I’ve had nothing but incredible experiences with both of them! Hope they avoid the vitriol that the beer community typically has for situations like this, they definitely don’t deserve it. I got both bottles, and will be there Saturday as well!

New west coast IPA! New dry hopped pilsner! Looks like its time to make a trip to the Herm. I wonder how Eddie is different from Danbo. Must be different base pils.

You may want to wait until Friday if you can only go one day ;) ;) ;)

Edit: Durr just realized you said herm and not chinatown. Carry on!

Anything going on week of 18th-22nd. Will be in Ontario area for work that week. Will have car, willing to drive within reason.
