Relaxist was relatively recent? But I guess that depends on if you dig “Italian” pilsners. Fresh off drinking my weight in Tipopils in Rome I really enjoyed it.

I go to HPB all the time, but I have less of a reason to go to Monkish without some lagered beer. There may have been a recent one, I just feel like there was a decent run where there was a pils on often and I haven't noticed one for a while. Its ok, I'll just go drink subliminal sequel.

Nah, you should be fine; I think this one isn't as popular as the others and it's also 1pp so I wouldn't be too worried about getting there really early.

DTLA is your only real option with your conditions - keep in mind to avoid any airbnbs that are close to Skid Row and the very large homeless population.

You may also find options in Little Tokyo / Arts District but do keep in mind, the warning above still very much applies.

Bad idea to go to Westlake or Koreatown?

You’ll just be somewhat remote doing either. If that isn’t an issue, I’d suggest Echo Park or Silver Lake, as neither’re terribly far from downtown and both have excellent coffee/dining/drinking options, including Woodcat, Day Glo, Mohawk Bend, HPB Chinatown, Far Bar, etc.

Possibly. Both could have good spots, they can also be terribly shady. Like shanrath said, I'd shoot for the Silverlake or echo park area.

Also, why would someone get married in the fashion district?
