Trouble removing it with plyers, is there an easier way?

What is the technical name of these?

Those are oetiker clamps...I don't know the preferred way to remove them, I usually just grab my linesmen pliers and grab the bulge and squeeze/pull until the end comes up and I can pry it open.

I use a special crimper used to crimp those, basically grab the piece that is sticking out on the right and twist until it breaks.

Good luck... great seals, crappy to remove.

What I've done is use this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Apollo-Poly-Pipe-Pinch-Clamp-Tool-POLYPTK/203053310. It not only crimps them on but you can use it to remove the clamps.

Open the tool and place the blade ends on the clamps ear on the open sides (top and bottom on your picture, don't put the blades of the tool on the ear as if you crimped it). Clamp down onto the ear of the clamp and twist it and it should pop it off the tabs.

This. You can use he actual oetiker clamping tool or a pair of side cutters to do the same thing.

Using the crimping tool to attach them, you put one end of the blade on the crimped end, and the other on the overlapping lip. Squeeze and it should be able to come off... That is how I read it somewhere awhile ago. Doesnt always work though. So I either cut the tubing, or pinch and twist.

If you google "removing oetiker clamp" there is a great youtube vid showing how easy it is with a wire cutter/pliers.

Not sure the exact name for the pliers. I'm at work and can't access youtube to share the link. It takes seconds if you are doing it right.

I think this is the link but I can't open it to check

I do something similar, just stick a flat screwdriver under the end and pry. Comes off pretty easily.
