Just bought a 24 pack of k.s. craft beer tried a couple thought the hef wasn't bad. C'mon $18 for a case not bad huh? what do ya'll think of it if you've tried it or am I a "sellout"?????

I tried it at the neighbors... Tried a couple varieties in the pack. Not my cup of tea.

I never liked many commercial brews, which is why I started brewing my own when my doc told me it would be good for my cholesterol if I drank a little more alcohol.

Not that it's bad... just that I would rather spend my $$ on another home brew batch.

4 Miller Lights
1 Bud Light
2 Dos Equis

...and you know what? I enjoyed every one of 'em! I'm not a sellout. I didn't drink those beers with great expectations. I drank them because I wanted something light, refreshing, simple, and cold.

Perhaps this evening I'll crack another bottle of Old Rasputin, SN Bigfoot, St Arnold's Divine, Stone IPA, some barleywine, or a well aged imperial stout. My expectations will be much higher, and I'll likely savor the experience a bit more.

We've had a couple discussions on Gordon Biersch/Kirkland/Trader Joes/Costco Beers. I even emailed the brew-master for them, the Gordon Biersh line is brewed under the ole German Purity Law, and so are all the boutique lines they brew for the stores.

Beer can be like pizza.

Sure, I like a good chicago style deep dish pizza. But sometimes I like a Totinos cardboard special from the freezer for 99 cents.

Now, if I opened the oven expecting chicago style... I'd be sorely disappointed. But if I'm expecting something without a ton of flavor, kind of light on the toppings, but still an overall edible snack, I'm fine.

Same goes with beer.

If you crack open an MGD expecting it to taste like Arrogant Bastard, then you're going to be let down. If you're expecting something without very much flavor, but it's cold and stops you from being thirsty, then you'll be fine.

We purchased 2 cases at Christmas .... better than the BMC's, the family and friends got to try something different and I had 2 cases of bottles which are now filled with a delicous Belgian Wit.

I just had a few of the New Belgium's Fat Tire Ambers last night, and thought they were delicious. (I tell the barkeep to save my bottles so I can reuse them), then backed them up with 3 Dos Equis Ambers. Not too bad, but before this it had been months since I'd had a commercial beer. Guess I'm gettin' out of the loop on this. All I drink is my own!!!!!!!!!! :rockin:

i bought 2 cases a while back and friends and i thought they were just alright, i love when costco has 28 packs of sam adams for 20-21 dollars.

I checked the bottles when I was last at Costco, thinking that it might be a good source for recappables, but they were twisties. Are they making multiple packages, since I've seen others talking about getting them for the bottles?

for 18 bucks, I'll certainly be back. None of these beers is actually one of Gordon Biersch's, but beers that Costco contracted them to make by their standards. The German lager is good, the hefeweizen is definitley not as good as Gordon Biersche's, and I didn't care for the Pale Ale.

But, like I said for 18 bucks, its damned hard to beat if your not drinking your own.

I bought a case of the Kirkland Craft Brew. I think they are all right. Pretty decent beer and at 19.00 for 24, that is only about 80 cents per bottle. Not a bad price especially if you are collecting bottles to reuse.

I have not tried it, but I definately do not think this is a "sellout"!

I feel this is a great way to taste other beers.....as you may find something in those that you like, and get some ideas for your own beer!

I've been through your state, and live in Utah.....i feel your pain. Unless i want to travel out of state and risk capture for importing beer across state lines i will never taste this brew.
