Kettle wraps

I just got a 10gal aluminum kettle. I ran through my first session with it and noticed that it just barely brought it up to boiling.

I have seen some brewers wrap their kettle in some sort of wrap, there was various styles. What would be the name for those wraps and would it work for me?

Kettle on standard stove is what I am using.

People use all sort of insulation materials. I use foil. Cheap, mostly reusable, takes very little skill to use, and does a good job.
