Ok, i am getting ready to make my second batch hopefully next weekend, weather depending. I have already converted a keg over for my kettle and was wondering what my best bet was to keep all the hops/sludge in my wert from getting in my fermenter. I have a valve and a center dip tube in my keggle and once the wert has cooled, just open the valve and then let the wert run into my fermenter through some tubing. What is my best bet to filter/strain my wert? I am still a beginner and just brewing Brewer's Best Recipe Kits.

So run the wort coming out of the tubing through a strainer before it goes into the fermenter?

I am worried that the dip tube will clog?

Well,if you're doing AG,it should,I imagine, have a strainer screen over the valve on the inside of the pot. Then another strainer over the fermenter to make sure you catch all of it.? An idea, anyway.

I'd use the braided steel one in the brew kettle. The boiling liquid will sanitize it for you,& keep all the gunk in the kettle. Looks good to me.
