I am setting up a keg system and was wondering if it possible or worth it to fill a keg up with plain water and just carbonate that first and see how everything works. I have a commercial account for CO, so I am not worried about wasting some gas for a test. I know there might be some line balancing or other issues I might run into as I get the system dialed in so I was thinking doing a test run with water might be good so i don't waste any homebrew due to foaming or other unforseen problems. Will it be worth it to try it first w/ plain water or is water too different from beer that it would just be a waste of my time?
