i wanted to use one of my kegs for just storing sanitizer for use when cleaning. what sanitizer would you recommend? i want something that wont loose its effectiveness when not being used weeks at a time.

recommendations?

how long will it last in water? currently i use iodine solution but i didnt think it lasted more than a couple hours.

A long time if the water is not hard. Some folks use RO water. I use soft (water softener) water & it lasts a long time (6+ months). YMMV

so i can keg sanitizer "starsan" in a water solution for approx 6 months depending on my water and it still be effective?

Use distilled water with starsan and it will, for certain, last for a very long time, (months).

It won't corrode SS. (unless you do some fool thing like mix it at 5x recommended concentration).
