Hi there,
I'd like to minimize my O2 pickup when kegging from a SS Brewtech Conical. Thinking about employing the following scheme:
1. Purge the sanitized keg with Co2 through the OUT post while having a Spunding valve set on the IN post with a setting of 2 PSI.
2. Purge head space in the Conical.
3. Start pressurized transfer from the Conical, into the OUT post of the keg, with a pressure of 3 - 4 PSI.
4. When the keg is filled, purge the head space 15 times.
Do I miss something?
Also, when purging the empty keg, how many times would you do it and what pressure, taking in mind the connected Spunding valve? Would I be better of using the build in relief valve and connecting the Spunding valve afterwards?
