Hi

I'm going to keg a 6 gallon homebrew into a 5 gallon keg. The rest will go into 12 330 ml bottles. My question is how much dextrose do i need for the bottles and how much water do i need to boil the sugar.

It's easiest to use 1 ounce of priming sugar (by weight) per gallon, and bulk prime in a bottling bucket. What I do is boil the priming sugar in 2 cups of water, and add then to my bottling bucket. Then rack the beer into the bottling bucket. I use the bottling wand for the bottles, and then switch to a long piece of tubing for filling the keg. If you don't have a long piece of tubing to reach the bottom of the keg from the spigot, you could rack it with your racking cane.

If you want to only use priming sugar in the bottles and not in the keg, it's better to use carb tabs for the bottles.

But Yooper, priming bottles and kegs isn't the same right? Keg need 1/3c of dextrose per 5 gal while bottle use 3/4c per 5 gal.
