If the keg is larger than the burner you may have to make a temporary bridge support. I used some stacked block wall bricks (both sides of the burner and a barbecue grill that was 3 to 6 inches above the burner). This will support the keg well and make it safe. If the keg is too close to the burner you may not get a clean burn from the burner due to lack of air.
I just received my new 26 gallon brew pot today and started to wonder the same thing...do I need a new burner? I currently have a sp10 bayou burner. I'm guessing I do, so what are my options?
That might be the way I have to go. I thought there would be a large enough stand with a burner out there since there are 100 qt turkey pots everywhere, but I guess they either use the burner I already have or build one. Unless somebody knows of a large enough burner?
It does not have any information listed...do you know how many btu's it is? I ask because it looks like a 10psi regulator, in which case I would have to some how switch my burner with that one and just use it for the stand(mine is a 20psi reg). thanks!
