Hello. I recently brewed my first all grain batch.
Pretty basic pils & carapils , saaz & northern brewer.
It was in the primary for 5 weeks.
I Kegged it a few days ago after tasting while i was half cut, and once sober I realized it was flavorless and lacking body.
My question is... Could I now bottle it from the keg and leave it longer in the hope it might improve?
And if that possible would I need to prime the bottles at all?
Or should I just dump it and try again?

It seems like there is a lot of information missing from this. A few things:

1. What C02 volume was this kegged at? If you don't know, what temp and PSI did you put the regulator to?
2. You said that you kegged it a couple of days before serving. What method did you use to force carbonate at that rate?
3. What mechanism are you planning on using to go from keg to bottle? Beer Gun? Counter Pressure? Picnic hose? Etc.

Also, if you believe it's flavorless, I don't believe it will gain flavor over time. Typically age will mellow out "Green" characteristics on a young beer (Especially larger gravity beers). If you age a beer with little flavor and character, you will likely be mellowing out an already mellow beer.

Thanks for reply. I force carbonated at 260 KPA for 36 hours and then I generally turn down to 100 KPA for another week.
Your right about an already mellow beer. It was a poor recipe.
Just a shame to waste it.
I was planning on degassing the keg as much as posible, then connecting a pipe to my tap, half filling bottles from the keg, then topping up with another darker extract brew that has been
in primary for 5 weeks.
And Maybe only use half the sugar to carbonate?

Just drink it. The longer it sits the less flavor it will have. If it really sucks dump it. I know that is a bad thing to say but I only have this life and I'm not wasting it drinking bad beer.

I had a beer that I thought was thin and bland. In fact it was the first beer i ever kegged. I was so worried after taking keg samples during the first week thinking that I had wasted my time.
But a week or so after it had carbed up, it tasted a lot better.

I wouldn't degas it just yet. My kegged brews always taste best after they've been carbonated for about a week.

and if it still sucks in a week or so, then you could mix it. I wouldn't bother blending it with your uncarbonated dark brew. Carb that one up, and mix them post carbonation. That way you won't have to worry as much about getting the carb just right

It's not that bad once you've had three or four, or five...
Post Carb mixing is a good option.
And it's only 19 lts. Funny how optimistic you can get after a few home brews :)
Thanks for the feed back.

And true that beerman001, Lifes to short to drink ****e beer. Isn't that why we do this!
