Kegerator question

Hello all. I have come to get a free tallish mini fridge. Rather old one but it definitely works. Anyways I would like to try and make it into a kegerator. However cash is really tight. I have heard of some people using PVC to make their Kegerators. Has anyone had any experience doing this and if so how did it go overall?

I'm assuming that you're talking about popping a hole into the top of the fridge and making a faucet tower out of PVC.

If cash is really tight, I'd just buy some picnic taps and wait until I had more money to do things right.
