Anybody ever installed hood struts or have another way of keeping the lid open? I have a coffin keezer with a tile lid. I usually use a piece of wood to prop it open but it gets in the way when loading in kegs

Sure, gas struts will work fine. The challenge working will these is finding the correct length and mounting points but in general, the strut is going lay almost horizontal in the closed position. Don't think of it as staying vertical as it lifts and lowers. No room for that.

fwiw, a Google search using "site:homebrewtalk.com keezer+strut" will yield some useful threads often with photos showing how the strut(s) are attached to various keezer implementations. A collared or totally enclosed keezer usually makes it relatively easy to attach struts...

Cheers!

I must not be searching the correct words or something. I’ve been googling it and can’t find anything

Yea I figured they would lay in there pretty well. Just have no idea how to go about figuring out what length I need.
