If I missed an answer somewhere in searching, my apologies...
I have a very small chest freezer (big enough for 2 cornies) that I am converting. I decided to use a 2x8 to build a collar to add enough space that I can sneak a 5 gal. carboy on the shelf. Have it sized/cut - I was planning to just silly-cone the collar to the freezer base, then attach the lid to the collar. Anyone gone down this path - if so, will that hold well enough, or do I need to explore some sort of superior attach-the-collar engineering?
TIA - I'm putting the whole shizzbang together tomorrow, kegging a SNPA clone, and goin' fer it, so hoping if I need to be steered in the right direction, it happens quick...
