I have discovered a strange problem, and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. My keg out post has a very thick layer of metal on the top (the part where the top hole is where the poppet fits in.) I had a keg that had a very slow fill (through the outpost) and a slow delivery of beer. I thought the poppet wasn't fitting into it well, so I drilled it out just a bit, but then I noticed that the top layer of metal on the out post was really thick compared with my other out posts. Very weird. So the poppet doesn't come up as far, and the QD on my beer line can't push it down as far. I hope to grind it down some.

What make/model keg are you dealing with? Any chance the post was a retrofit?
I've noticed some non-oem posts are a bit "thick" compared to my collection of classic Cornelius/Firestone posts.
That said, I've used those same posts all over the brewery cold-side without issue...

Cheers!
